Who is FenceCo?

Our Office Staff The FenceCo staff is your fencing information resource! Our consultants and office staff are always researching the latest products and developments in the fence industry so they can pass the best prices on to clients. Unlike others who measure footage and handwrite an estimate on the spot, FenceCo consultants take all measurements and relevant information back to the office and build a custom quote with the latest material prices. Your personalized quote is then emailed, faxed, mailed, or hand-delivered back to you promptly and efficiently. We want to be your fencing solution, but if we cannot build your dream, we will make suggestions for someone who can.

With every fencing project that FenceCo completes, we continue to establish a reputation as Tulsa's premium fence builders. The client that hires FenceCo expects more than what the discount fence companies offer; they are the kind of consumer that expects to have to find the right services and products to suit their tastes. They expect more because they would invest more into their property to have a job done correctly rather than expend hard-earned dollars on poor work or faulty products. FenceCo takes this responsibility seriously, because as Tulsa's premium fence builders, we have many expectations to fulfill.

At FenceCo, the cornerstone to our approach to good customer service is through honesty, respect, and education; however, the one true rule about good customer service is, "You will be judged by what you do, not what you say." The FenceCo staff prides itself on prompt, courteous service from your initial call for a free estimate, to the installation of the fence by our professional crews. We work with you to insure quality and value for your investment in a friendly and no-pressure environment.

How We Build a Fence

Our standards

Double post all gates - Two 4x4 post are attached together for the hinge side of the gate. All wood will sag over a period of time. This method helps delay this sagging and makes your gate functional for a longer period of time.

All double-drive gates and gates over 4' in width are triple hinged - With the extra weight of large wooden gates two hinges just aren't enough to ensure functionality. An extra hinge helps prolong your gates use.

All gates triple nailed - We triple nail all of our wood gates. The gate is the only moving part on your fence. We triple nail to insure your gate will stand the test of time.

Standard picket 3/4" - We use a standard 3/4" picket for all our fences. The pickets available at a major hardware store are usually 5/8" thick. The extra thickness adds longevity to your fence.

Hot dipped galvanized nails - All of our nails are hot dipped galvanized to aid in slowing the rusting process. Hot dipped galvanized nails will eventually be broken down by the treated wood and show a black mark down the fence (nail bleed). The only way to guarantee no nail bleeds is to treat your fence with stain or opt for the stainless steel nail upgrade.

All posts set with wet-mixed concrete - The concrete is mixed with water and poured into the hole. It is not placed in the hole dry with a little water added to the top and dirt kicked over it (dry-packing).

Full 80 lb. bag of concrete in each hole - We use a full 80 lb. bag of concrete in each hole to assure your fence's foundation is solid. Using less concrete in each hole will not ensure your fence will last through Oklahoma's high winds.

Posts set at least 24" in the ground - We set every post at least 24" in the ground. This also ensures that your fence will withstand higher wind loads.

#2 or better lumber used - Number 2 or better wood means the knot holes will be 2" and under. If #3 wood is used with a 3.5" standard picket, the knot hole will cover almost the entire width of that picket.

True 4x4 posts - We use true square corner ACQ 4x4 posts for your fence. Round corner 4x4's are cheaper but tend to twist out easier. We will never use a landscaping timber for a fence post.

True 2x4 rails - We use actual ACQ 2x4's when building your fence not 2x2 or 2x3 like you would get on a panel fence.

Western red cedar pickets - We use western red cedar pickets on all fences. We do not install fences with low quality treated pickets or the cheaper white wood.

45 all joints - All cap and trim is cut at a 45 degree angle to avoid seams pulling apart - not butted up and toe nailed. We also use full 20 foot boards to cut down the number of joints that could fail. We offer shorter pieces of cap and trim, but we highly recommend the longer boards.

Proper nailing - We shoot 2 nails in the top and bottom rail and 1 nail in the center rail, even on cap and trim, where some companies will only single nail on the top rail because it will be hidden from the customer

8' tall on 6' centers - It is our standard operating procedure to build 8' tall fences on 6' centers to aid in longevity against Oklahoma's strong winds.

Pickets spaced off ground - Pickets are left about one inch off the ground in most cases to prevent water from wicking up the wood and rotting it quicker. When the pickets are jammed into the ground the result is a fence that doesn't last long.

Quality control - The owner of FenceCo personally Quality Checks every project large or small.

Taxes - All taxes are paid on materials by the book. Some companies think there is a "home-improvement" loophole and do not pay the proper taxes.

Shop and showroom - We have a shop with a showroom that you can visit to look at the materials we will be using to build your fence. You are welcome, at any time, to visit us to see the quality of materials we will be using on your fence.

Insurance - We have all the proper insurance in order to be able to legally work on your property without risk to you. Workers compensation and general liability insurance ensures that you are protected in case accidents were to happen on your property.

We also offer other functional upgrades such as stainless steel nails, cedar posts or rails, custom gates, steel posts, steel framed gates, and other aesthetic upgrades such as crossbucks, bottom trim, tapers, steps, etc... Please call FenceCo to schedule an appointment with a sales consultant to arrange for the installation of the perfect fence for your home.
